Nigerian music star, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, today will be performing in Kigali at the “Giants of Africa” closing ceremony.
Davido arrived in Kigali on Thursday morning and was accompanied by his entourage. On social media, Davido told his fans, “At the end of the week I hope we will be together in Kigali.”
He shared with his followers the video from the Kigali International Airport.
The closing concert of the “Giants of Africa” event will feature Davido, Tiwa Savage, Tayla and Bruce Melodie from Rwanda.
It is the first time that Tiwa Savage and Tyla are going to perform in Kigali, while Davido was the last in 2018.
The show is scheduled to start at 8:30am on August 19, 2023.
Tickets will be on sale for Rwf 50,000 at the entrance that will open at 10:00pm.
Tables will go for Rwf 2million (ten people).
On August 13, 2023, the “Giants of Africa” festival opened with a concert in which singer Intore Masamba, Diamond Platnumz and dancer Sherri Silver performed in the audience.
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Giants of Africa.
