The Rwanda National Under-19 Handball Team defeated Burundi in the friendly youth handball games played in Kigali over the weekend.
In the first match played on Saturday at 10:00 PM, host Rwanda beat the visitor by 29 -28 goals.
The two teams met again on Sunday in the second played in the morning, once again the host won by 42-37 goals.
The two friendly games were organizized in preparation for the 10th International Men’s U19 Youth Handball World Cup Championship scheduled in Croatia from 2 to 13 August 2023.
Rwanda is drawn in Group A alongside Portugal, Croatia and Algeria while Burundi is in Group H with Sweden, the Faroe Islands and Iran.
