The Rwandan franc (RWF) began October under mild pressure against the US dollar, though moves have been small. Mid-market rates on 1 and 2 October ranged from about 1,469 to 1,480 RWF per dollar, depending on the provider.
The National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) published official dollar rates for 29 September of 1,468.79 RWF (buying), 1,473.79 RWF (reference) and 1,478.79 RWF (selling), with the euro at 1,668.55 RWF. allratestoday
The central bank said the franc stood at 1,478.65 per dollar on 25 September, a 1.41% depreciation since the end of December 2025. x
