While campaigning in Goma, DR-Congo, opposition leader, Moise Katumbi on Thursday November 23, promised that he can find a solution to the M23 question if elected to power.
Arriving in North Kivu in the afternoon from Ituri, Moïse Katumbi said that he has come to find a solution to the M23 question.
Address his fans at the Afia stadium in the Des Volcans district, Moïse Katumbi focused on the security crisis pointing out “A thorny problem with indescribable humanitarian consequences has displaced over 2 million people, people have fled their homes for more than two years”
Accompanied by his allies Matata Ponyo, Franck Diongo and Seth Kikuni, the opposition leader added,“No DRC without North Kivu, we must not give up even a centimeter of our territory”
I have come to find a solution to the M23 question…,” said Moïse Katumbi, candidate for the presidential election next December, during his address, Thursday, November 23, to the population of Goma (North Kivu).
Once elected, Moïse Katumbi promised to do everything possible to establish peace in North Kivu.
Moïse Katumbi also paid tribute to all the Congolese sons and daughters who fell because of this war while sympathizing with the population during this period of state siege.
Regarding the electoral process, he recommended the population to be vigilant on voting day.
“We are not going to leave the polling stations without counting the votes, we cannot steal the votes of Moïse Katumbi ,” he insisted.
