While campaigning in Rusizi district on Friday, June 28 2024, incumbent President Paul Kagame, said that a well-built structure will stand the test of time, assuring the residents in the Western Province that Rwanda’s security is strong and cannot be breached.

The Chairman of RPF-Inkontanyi, further underlined that Rwanda has come from far following the devastating 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, but the RPF brought unity among all Rwandans and all political parties.

The RPF=Inkontanyi candidate, who is competing with former lawmaker Frank Habineza of the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda, and Philippe Mpayimana, emphasized that Rwandans are working together to build a better country, and  a lot has been achieved but the destination is far and there is a lot to be achieved.

“The youth,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of concern, “you, of all people, shouldn’t be unaware of your heritage. Consider Rwanda’s journey – the depths it rose from and the heights it’s reached. This gives you a twofold duty: to embrace the progress we’ve made and to stand guard against anything that threatens to tear it down.” Kagame said.

He further challenged the youth with a powerful analogy. Imagine a building: if it’s poorly constructed, anyone can come along and tear it down. But a strong, well-built structure will stand the test of time. The future of our nation depends on what you build. Let’s work together to build a foundation of unity, development, and democracy – a foundation that empowers you to choose the future you desire.

Paul Kagame said, “Let us maintain unity and security, Additionally, he requested the youth to build unity, development democracy that allows Rwandans to choose who they want, noting that it is upon the RPF, its leader, and the people to do it.

Come Election Day, Kagame said that he knows the people will make the right choice and show their support as they have done during previous elections.

The chairman of the RPF Inkotanyi, Paul Kagame, was welcomed by a crowd of thousands of residents in Rusizi district; the local people also assured him that they will vote for him.

Rusizi District businessman, Jean Paul Ndamwemera, shared an inspiring story of transformation. Through dedication and education, he revitalized a family coffee-growing business.  His efforts not only led to financial success but also created a greater socio-economic impact in the region.
