Newly promoted Gasogi Football Club shocked Kiyovu on Day 20 of the 2019/2020 National Football League match which took place on Tuesday 2 at Mumena stadium.
Kiyovu started on a good note with confidence and several attempts but could not utilize them, for Gosogi FC it took them only one good chance to knock Kiyovu when Augustine Kaneza scored the lonely goal from free kick on the 89 minutes to seal the victory for his side.
Indeed it was a big win which secured all three points for newly promoted team Gasogi to amass 25 points recording the sixth win this season out of seven draws and eight defeats in twenty-one matches to jump to the tenth position.
Kiyovu on the other hand, the defeat was a blow for Kiyovu which now remains with 32 points out of six defeats, nine wins and six draws.
In the other matches that were played, host Mukura VS beat Hero’s FC 1-0, Bertrand Iradukunda netted the goal while AS Kiliga have continued their winning streak in the second round of the league by winning against AS Muhanga 1-0.
Mukura VS are have now moved to 37 points four points behind third-placed Police FC which is taking on table leaders APR FC in what is called the clash of the titans this Wednesday 4,2020.
As Kigali now move to 29 points, two points ahead of Eastern based side Bugesera FC which is hosting battling Marine FC. AS Muhanga will remain remained in 10th position with 23 points one point behind Marines FC.
