On April 24, a tourism documentary ‘Rwanda: The Royal Tour’ with President Paul Kagame as the guide was premiered in Chicago, USA attracting global personalities and enthusiasm from viewers.
“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to be Peter Greenberg’s guide in this film and to show a wider audience what Rwanda has to offer,” the President Kagame said during premier screening of the documentary.
Accompanied by First Lady Jeannette Kagame at the screening in New York, the President said that the goal of tourism and conservation in Rwanda is not only to increase visitor and revenue numbers but also to ensure that the benefits are both sustainable and shared by Rwandans.
Tourism experts say that the documentary will serve to showcase Rwanda’s diverse touristic attractions across the world which is in line with plans to increase revenue from the sector.
