Tanzanian football giants Simba SC have announced the appointment of François Regis Uwayezu as their new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1. Uwayezu succeeds Imani Kajula, who recently stepped down from the role.
Uwayezu’s new role comes after his resignation as Secretary General of Ferwafa, the Rwandan Football Federation, in September 2021. He had served in this position since May 2018, playing a pivotal role in managing football operations in Rwanda.
Uwayezu takes a wealth of expertise to Simba SC. His previous roles include serving as the Vice Chairman of APR FC, a Government Internal Auditor, and Director of Administration and Finance.
Uwayezu’s appointment is expected to drive Simba SC forward, leveraging his extensive experience to enhance the club’s growth and success.
