The Ministry of Health has announced that it will start offering Covid-19 vaccinations to 12 year teenagers and above in the city of Kigali starting from Tuesday, November 23.

In a statement released on Sunday, November 21, the Ministry noted that as part of its ongoing drive to combat the pandemic, Rwanda will continue to provide protection to adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 across the country.

The Ministry of Health further asked parents with children of that age to help them get a vaccine by signing an immunization consent form.

Henceforth, Rwanda has vaccinated more than 5.5 million of its residents with at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
