Rayon Sports football club has confirmed suspending head coach Robertinho and goalkeeper coach Mazimpaka Andre.
In a statement issued on Monday, April 14, 2025, Rayon Sports cited the team’s poor performance in the second half of the national league season as the reason for suspending head coach Robertinho and goalkeeper coach Mazimpaka Andre.
Rayon managed only 11 points out of 8 matches, the decline in the club’s performance has seen them fall from the top of the league table on March 23, leaving archrivals APR FC at the top with 48 points, just a point ahead of Rayon.

In the wake of Robertinho’s suspension, the club’s management has turned to Rwaka Claude to lead the team on an interim basis. Rwaka, who recently departed his role with Rayon’s women’s team, will be tasked with steadying the ship and guiding the club through their upcoming, Peace Cup semi-final clash against Mukura.
The 64-year-old Brazilian Coach returned to the Rayon, having coached the local Blues in the season of 2018 and 2019, where he helped them to win that league title.
