President Paul Kagame reshuffled his cabinet this Tuesday bringing in new faces into government at the same time changing positions for some ministers, according to a statement signed by PM Edouard Ngirente.
Gaspard Twagirayezu was appointed Minister of Education from State Minister in the same ministry in charge of Primary and Secondary Education. Claudette Irere became the Minister of State for Education, she was serving as the State Minister in charge of TVET.
Dr. Valentine Uwamariya who was Minister of Education was appointed Minister of Gender and Family Promotion while Maj Gen. Albert Murasira was appointed Minister of Disaster Management, previously he served as Minister of Defence.
Solange Kayisire who replaced by Gen. Murasira goes to Local Government as State Minister.
Some new entrants include Eric Rwigamba as Minister of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources. Jeanine Munyeshuli was appointed Minister of State in charge of Public Investments and Resource Mobilization at the Ministry of Finance.
Dr Claudine Uwera is the new Minister of State for the Environment while Sandrine Umutoni is Minister of State for Youth.
Maj. Gen (Rtd) Charles Rudakubana was proposed Ambassador to Angola and Margaret Nyagahura as Ambassador for Hungary.
Assumpta Ingabire becomes CEO of the Child Development Office replacing Nadine Gatsinzi Umutoni who becomes the Director General of the Gender Monitoring Office.
