Hubert Bisengimana is a talented, driven, and courageous photojournalist with a rare gift for friendship.
For more than ten years, he has built a powerful body of work, which has been published in some of the local and international best-known publications. His journey, in life and photography, has helped him to see and value different perspectives.
For Mother’s Day this year ‘May 8th’, the photographer took the privilege to reflect on his experiences with mothers—to capture these amazing images/shots (below) of a hardworking mother (farmer) who wakes up early every day striving for the wellbeing of her family.

He believes that to truly capture motherhood — the authentic moments that will be remembered for years to come — you need to do more than just make sure (subject) mom is in the frame.
In this simple documentation, I am telling a story using images about the boldness of a mother in her ability to put her family first and ignore herself.

“This is a determined parent, making sacrifices for a grandson. Making such sacrifices for a child’s better growth isn’t an easy thing in today’s world,” the photographer says.
“Regardless of its history, Mother’s Day is still a day spent honoring women who were brought into the world,” Hubert whose photos have been on display in several exhibitions points out
Below the photographer tells a family’s story as best he can through these images that he took on Mother’s Day’.
