This June, Commonwealth Member States will select their next Secretary-General when they convene in Rwanda at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The Secretary-General is voted in through consensus.
Her trip to Africa began last Saturday, and so far she has already met with government officials from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Uganda, and Kenya.
Similarly, she is expected to travel to Tanzania, Nigeria, and Ghana, a statement from London said.
