The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, had a telephone conversation on April 6, 2021 with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Immigration and Asylum of Luxembourg, Mr. Jean Asselborn.
The two FMs welcomed the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and reiterated their resolve to further strengthen them, by opening them to new fields of cooperation such as renewable energy, said the Ministry in a press release.
The two parties welcomed the princely economic mission to Morocco led in 2019 by the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, HRH Prince Guillaume, and his spouse Hereditary Grand Duchess, HRH Princess Stéphanie.
Mr. Bourita and Mr. Asselborn also highlighted the exemplary management of the two countries in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
For his part, Mr. Asselborn praised Morocco for its role as EU’s strategic partner and for its serious and credible efforts as a hub of stability and relay of development and growth in the region.
The two Ministers noted the shared viewpoints on regional and international issues of common interest, notably the situation in Libya and the Sahel region and the Middle East.
