This Tuesday morning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta received Ambassador João Samuel Caholo, the Executive Secretary of International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) on his first visit to Rwanda.
Minister Biruta with Ambassador João Samuel Caholo discussed among other things regional peace and security matters in the region and the role of ICGLR.
Ambassador João Samuel Caholo, an Angolan National, born on 10th July 1956, was appointed Executive Secretary of ICGLR on 20 November 2020
ICGLR is an intergovernmental organization of 12 countries in the African Great Lakes Region established to promote peace, security, stability and development.
