President Paul Kagame joined other African heads of state and government leaders at a state dinner hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto on Monday evening ahead of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi.
The dinner, held at the State House in Nairobi, honored leaders attending the summit focused on strengthening ties between Africa and France through trade, investment, innovation and sustainable development.

In a statement, Rwanda’s presidency, Village Urugwiro, said Kagame joined fellow leaders “in a dinner hosted by President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto in honor of heads of state and government attending the Africa Forward Summit.”
Kagame arrived in Nairobi on Monday to participate in the two-day summit, which has drawn more than 4,000 participants, including more than 25 heads of state and government, investors, business executives and innovators.
The Rwandan leader is expected to chair a discussion Tuesday on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and address African and French business leaders on green industrialization and clean energy initiatives.
Organizers say the summit aims to deepen cooperation between African countries and France while promoting sustainable economic growth and long-term development across the continent.
