Lofty defender Abdul Rwatubyaye has completed his return to Rayon Sports after four years. Rwatubyaye who left the Macedon champions FC Shkupi joins Rayon Sports on a two-year employment contract that keeps him at the club till at least 2024.
The 26-year-old began his career in 2009 with APR academy and was also part of the Amavubi U-17, U-20, and U-23 national teams. He was also part of the Rayon squad that reached the CAF Confederation Cup quarter finals in 2018. His contract with Shkupi ended in June.
Speaking to the reporters, the defender expressed his gratitude for returning saying quarter-finalsthat he was pleased and could not contain his excitement.
He also played for defecate youth side Isonga FC.
Rwatubyaye becomes Rayon’s ninth signing in the ongoing transfer window, joining Esenu Mus, Felix Ndekwe, Arsene Tuyisenge, Raphael Osalue, Didier Junior Mucyo and Elie Ganijuru, Jean de Dieu Hirwa, Eric Ngendahimana and Hadji Iraguha.
