The Rwandan youth side were eliminated out of the 2023 CECAFA U15 Boys Championship which is taking place in Uganda.
Sosthène Habimana’s boys were eliminated by Tanzania after losing 2-1 on Wednesday at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.
The elimination follows a 3-0 debacle by Zanzibar in the opening Group B match last Sunday.
Peter Arbogasti found the net twice in the 35th and 49th minute for Tanzania
Patrick Niyomugabo got the consolation strike in the 89th minute for Rwanda.
It was the second win for Tanzania who now advance to the semifinals with two wins. They’re joined by Zanzibar who hammered Somalia 4-0 in the first game.
Rwanda will face Somalia in their last Group game on November 10, 2023.
