CHOGM: Traffic Advisory For June 22, 2022

On Wednesday, June 22, the following roads will not be closed for traffic but road users will be required to give right of way to CHOGM delegates motorcades.

Kigali International Airport – Giporoso – Gisimenti – KCC – Kimihurura – Sopetrad – Payage – Serena Hotel.

Kigali International Airport – Kabeza – Giporoso – Gisementi – KCC – Kimihurura – Sopetrad – Payaje – Serena Hotel.

Sopetrad – Kanogo – Circle Sportif – Park Inn by Radisson – Choose Kigali Hotel.

In circumstances where the said roads are temporarily restricted, the following roads can be used as an alternative.

Those from Kabuga area or Eastern Province can use Nyandungu to Kimironko or Mushumba Mwiza – Rwahama – MIC – Gishushu – Kabuga ka Nyarutarama – Utexrwa – Kinamba – Yamaha – Gereza – Onatracom.

Those from Kanombe can use Busanza – Rubirizi – KK 266 st – Kabeza – Niboyi – Sonatube – Rwandex – Gikondo – At 40 or Kanogo – Kinamba – Nyabugogo.

Motorists can also use crossing points (Check letter “C” on the map) at Payage, Gishushu, Gisimenti and Prince House junctions.

Police officers will be on the road to direct you. We urge road users to bear with the changes and to respect traffic rules and regulations. For further clarification, please call 9003 and 0788311155.
