Rwanda’s ambassador to the Russian Federation, Joseph Nzabamwita, on Thursday met Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties, the Belarusian embassy press service reported.
During the meeting, Rogozhnik highlighted Belarus’s readiness to supply Rwanda with a full range of Belarus-made agricultural machinery and provide after sales service. He also noted the potential for Belarusian food products to enter the Rwandan market as part of efforts to enhance food security.
The ambassador expressed confidence that visits by Rwandan business representatives to Belarus could further boost trade and economic cooperation.
Nzabamwita identified several potential areas for collaboration, including manufacturing, agriculture, information technology, education, defense, and security.
The two diplomats also discussed efforts to develop the legal framework to support expanded Belarus-Rwanda cooperation.
