President Paul Kagame and His Excellence Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held an official meeting today at the Amiri Diwan to review bilateral relations and explore new horizons for joint cooperation.
At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed President Kagame and his accompanying delegation, praising the deeply rooted ties between Qatar and Rwanda. His Highness emphasized the importance of continuing to develop cooperation across various sectors to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
For his part, the Rwandan President expressed his deep appreciation to HH the Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality. President Kagame underscored Rwanda’s firm commitment to strengthening its friendly relations and expanding strategic partnerships with the State of Qatar across multiple fields.
In addition to bilateral ties, the two leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding the latest regional and international developments. They also reviewed ongoing efforts and strategies aimed at enhancing international peace and security.
The high-level talks were attended by a number of Their Excellencies Qatari ministers and senior government officials. On the Rwandan side, members of the official delegation accompanying the President were also in attendance.
