Quarterfinals confirmed so far:

Uganda (Group C winners) – TBC

Kenya vs Madagascar – Kasarani

Tanzania vs Morocco – Benjamin Mkapa

What a night of CHAN 2024 football! Uganda and South Africa lit up the stage with a breathtaking 3-3 draw that had fans at Mandela National Stadium on their feet until the final whistle.

The Cranes twice looked dead and buried, only to claw their way back with guts, grit, and a late equalizer that sent the home crowd into delirium. The draw was enough for Uganda to top their group, a statement of intent from a side growing in confidence.

But the East African fireworks didn’t stop there. In Nairobi, Kenya’s Harambee Stars kept their momentum rolling as Ryan Ogama once again played the role of match-winner.

Midway through the second half at Kasarani, Ogama turned sharply in the box and lashed home past Zambia’s Kalumba, sealing a 1-0 win and top spot in Group A. The roar from the stands told the story — Kenya are flying, and their quarterfinal clash against Madagascar at Kasarani already feels like a blockbuster.

Meanwhile at Nyayo Stadium, Morocco flexed their championship pedigree, sweeping aside DR Congo 3-1. Oussama Lamlaoui struck twice, Mohamed Hrimat added another, and Kitambala’s goal for the Leopards was nothing but consolation. The Atlas Lions booked their ticket to Dar es Salaam, where hosts Tanzania await in what promises to be a fiery quarterfinal duel.

From late drama in Kampala to decisive strikes in Nairobi, CHAN 2024 is serving up pure theatre. And the quarterfinals? They’re shaping up to be nothing short of electric.
