During a meeting and training session with members of The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda in Bugesera District on 20 September 2025, MP Icyizanye Masozera Jacky called on party members to actively engage in government programs and seize opportunities in agriculture, livestock, and local development projects.

The event also included elections for youth and women representatives at the district level, with a focus on the principles of the Green Party, the values expected of its members, and other related matters.

Participants were trained in productive agriculture and livestock practices, including the use of organic fertilizers to increase yields while protecting the environment.

Additionally, they were encouraged to take a leading role in promoting gender equality, as it is the true foundation of a developed and stable society.

She encouraged youth and women to use technology to create their own projects and achieve sustainable economic growth. Guided youth and women running small-scale projects can support their families and local markets, helping build a healthy, educated, and thriving nation.

Niragire Floride, President of the Women’s Wing of the Green Party in Bugesera District, highlighted that one of the main opportunities she has identified is the government’s readiness to support them in improving their livelihoods. She emphasized encouraging women to access financial institutions, noting that when women prosper, households prosper.

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda, a recognized political party, works to empower communities by promoting education, environmental conservation, youth and women engagement, and responsible governance.

In the 2024 general elections, the party’s presidential candidate, Frank Habineza, received 0.53% of the vote and maintained  two seats in the Chamber of Deputies.
