The Rwanda Olympic Association has co-opted Alice Umulinga as the President of the association till the end of this Olympic quadrennial period.

In a statement addressed to the Rwanda Olympic Committee (RNOSC) general assembly, Theogene Uwayo on Friday, November 4, said he resigned as president because of an objection with some members of the executive committee which led to a vacancy for the post of President, RNOSC.

Thereafter at Lemingo hotel over the weekend, 25 members out of 34 co-opted Umulinga to fill the vacancy for the post of President, RNOSC.

Uwayo, who was elected as president in May 2021, resigned citing objections from his committee members.
