Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Friday, September 17 appointed Dr Emmanuel Ugirabuguja as the new Minister of Justice. The appointment was announced in a press release and signed by Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente.
The new minister replaces Johnson Busingye who had held the post since 2013 and was recently appointed High Commissioner to Great Britain.
Dr Emmanuel Ugirabuguja is the former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Rwanda and also held the position of President of the Court of Justice of the East African Community whose members are Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan.
