Rwanda Premier League Side Sunrise football club are holding talks with Ugandan coach Moses Basena to extend his contract for another two-years.
Rebero Emmanual the Sunrise FC General Manager and spokesperson told the media, discussions are underway with the Ugandan qualified tactician from Germany.
“If we finalize the talks, we shall officially announce” he said.
Basena’s contract was due to expire in July this year, the Ugandan had signed a two-year agreement at the Nyagatare-based club in 2019.
Since last season, many clubs have shown interests in the Ugandan coach. He assisted the club finish 7th last year in a season which did not conclude due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Nyagatare based side is trying to put an end to the speculation about Basena’s future, by extending his contract to keep him at the North East of Rwanda until the end of 2021-2022 season.
Basena is a CAF “A” coaching license holder, he is a highly skilled hands-on tactician whose coaching span swells for as long as 18 years.
He is also a CAF certificate holder (1998), High Level (1998), FUTURO II (1998) and a coaching degree of first class (1995)
