Arsenal’s long wait for a Premier League title finally came to an end on Tuesday night, and the celebrations from players and fans stretched deep into the early hours of Wednesday morning. After years of falling just short, Mikel Arteta’s squad secured the club’s first league crown in 22 years, sparking emotional scenes across north London.

Several Arsenal players, including Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Eberechi Eze, were later seen outside the Emirates Stadium at around 05:00 BST as the celebrations continued. Photos and videos shared on social media captured the excitement and relief among the squad after a historic night for the club.

Timber posted a clip alongside Saka at Arsenal’s training ground, standing next to a blacked-out Premier League trophy that had been prepared to light up once the title was officially confirmed.

“Light that up,” Saka said with a smile before adding: “Twenty-two years people waited for this. There was a lot of talk, a lot of jokes, but nobody is laughing now.”

Teenage defender Myles Lewis-Skelly also joined the celebrations, joking about the criticism Arsenal faced in recent seasons after narrowly missing out on the title several times. Holding a champagne bottle in a video shared by Saka, the 19-year-old said: “They called us bottlers, now we’re the ones holding the bottle.”

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was also seen celebrating with teammates, while club legend Thierry Henry shared an emotional tribute online after watching the side finally reclaim the league title.

“Special thanks to this generation,” Henry wrote on Instagram. “Now my children have finally seen Arsenal win the league.”

Fans gathered in large numbers around the Emirates Stadium and in pubs across north London on Tuesday night as Manchester City faced Bournemouth in the match that would decide the title race. City needed a victory to keep their hopes alive, but Pep Guardiola’s side could only manage a draw, confirming Arsenal as champions.

The final whistle triggered huge celebrations among Arsenal supporters, many of whom had endured years of disappointment and near misses. Club icon Ian Wright was mobbed by fans outside the Emirates as he celebrated the achievement with supporters.

Scenes of joy were also witnessed at Arsenal’s training ground, where players and staff watched the decisive match together. Once the result was confirmed, the squad erupted in celebration, hugging, dancing and chanting: “Campeones, Campeones, Ole Ole Ole!”

The title triumph marks a major achievement for Arteta, who took charge of Arsenal seven years ago and gradually rebuilt the team into champions. Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes the success shows the value of giving managers time to develop a winning squad.

“You can spend money on players, but building a strong team takes patience,” Robinson told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Arsenal trusted Arteta’s project, and now they are champions.”
