Rwanda and Azerbaijan have agreed to explore expanded cooperation in bilateral and multilateral areas following discussions between their foreign ministers at a major diplomacy forum in Turkey.
Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum to review ways of strengthening relations between Kigali and Baku.
According to Rwanda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks highlighted mutual interest in developing cooperation despite the geographic distance between the two countries. Both sides noted that political consultation mechanisms already in place are helping to advance dialogue and support growing engagement.
The ministers also discussed broader opportunities for collaboration at regional and international levels, signaling interest in building stronger diplomatic and economic ties in the future.
