RwandAir will begin flying directly from Kigali to Zanzibar on 30 November 2025.
The new route will make it easier for people traveling from different parts of the world, including the UK, to reach Zanzibar through Kigali without long stopovers. This means visitors can get faster access to the island’s famous sites like Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches.
The Kigali–Zanzibar flight will also strengthen Kigali International Airport as a regional hub. It connects Rwanda’s safari adventures with Zanzibar’s coastal tourism, giving travelers a chance to enjoy both experiences in one trip.
This new service is expected to boost tourism and economic growth for both Rwanda and Zanzibar.
