APR FC were held to a 0–0 draw by Gorilla FC in the Rwanda Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as both sides failed to find a breakthrough at **Kigali Pelé Stadium.

APR FC started the match on the front foot, dominating possession and showing greater urgency in attack. Just four minutes in, Djibril Ouattara delivered a teasing cross that found Claude Niyomugabo, but his effort drifted narrowly wide.

Gorilla FC gradually grew into the game and registered their first real chance in the 21st minute. Jean Bosco Akayezu surged forward before unleashing a powerful shot, forcing APR goalkeeper Pierre Ishimwe to tip the ball out for a corner.

Although Gorilla FC did not create many chances, they looked dangerous whenever they advanced. On one occasion, a well-weighted cross found Kalifa Traoré, whose header was blocked by the APR defence.

The first half ended goalless, with both sides struggling to convert their limited chances.

After the break, Gorilla FC made a tactical change, introducing Darcy Irakoze in place of Celestin Kazungu, and the substitution added momentum to their attack.

Players such as Masudi Narcisse and Franck Nduwimana pushed forward in search of a goal, while Musa Mudeyi Saleh came close with a long-range effort that was well saved by Ishimwe.

APR FC responded in the 70th minute with a triple substitution, bringing on Hakim Kiwanuka, Gilbert Mugisha and Memel Dao for Mamadou Sy, Djibril Ouattara and Pacifique Iradukunda.

Despite late pressure from both sides, neither team managed to break the deadlock and the match ended in a goalless draw.

Elsewhere on Saturday, AS Muhanga shared the points with AS Kigali, while Etincelles FC recorded an emphatic 3–0 win over Musanze FC.

The league continues on Sunday with Mukura VS hosting Gicumbi FC, Bugesera FC welcoming Rayon Sports, and Marine FC facing Kiyovu Sports.

At the top of the table, Police FC lead with 26 points, while APR FC sit second on 20 points.
