Rubavu based side Étincelles FC, stunned table leaders Rayon Sports by defeating the table leaders by 3-2 on Sunday at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.
All the three goal by Étincelles FC came in the first 45 minutes of play but Rayon cAmeback and netted two goals.
Ramadhan Niyonsenga got the scoring start for Etincelles FC by putting up 1-0 in the first minute of the game, before Ismail Moro netted a brace on the 26 and 38 minutes. Both goals were scored in penalties.
Rayon Sports came into the second half looking to make a comeback, Felix Ndekwe released a thunder shot in the 47th minute hitting the crossbar.
Rayon brought on Prince Rudasingwa for Ndekwe, and the youngster opened the scores for Rayon on the 70th minute.
The local Blues continued to press, and with two minutes to the final whistle, Didier Junior Mucyo passed the ball to Mousa Camara who scored the second goal.
The final game ended 3-2 in favour of Étincelles FC who defeated Rayon to end the five year dreadlock.
In the other action games that took place on the 13th day of the season AS Kigali beat Espoir FC 4-2 in Rusizi district. Mukura beat Bugesera FC 1-0, Sunrise thumped Rwamagana City 5-2, Marine and Gorilla finished goalless while Kiyovu Sports beat Police 1-0.
