Rwandan Franc Exchange Rates Show Mixed Performance Over the Week

The Rwandan Franc (RWF) experienced mixed movements against major global and regional currencies this week, with some slight gains and losses observed.

The latest exchange rates, released on January 22, 2025, reveal the following changes compared to last week:

The Rwandan Franc weakened against the US Dollar, trading at 1,392.00 RWF compared to 1,388.50 RWF last week. Similarly, it dropped slightly against the Euro, now at 1,465.10 RWF from 1,459.00 RWF.

Against the Pound Sterling, the Rwandan Franc also saw a small decline, trading at 1,733.59 RWF compared to 1,727.00 RWF last week.

Regionally, the Rwandan Franc weakened against the Kenyan Shilling, which now trades at 10.83 RWF from 10.80 RWF last week. However, the Franc strengthened slightly against the Tanzanian Shilling, improving to 0.56 RWF from 0.55 RWF. The exchange rate with the Ugandan Shilling remained unchanged at 0.38 RWF.

These changes reflect ongoing market dynamics influenced by global and regional economic factors on the international market.
