Indahangarwa skipper Marie Claire Mushimiyimana equalizered in the 60th minute to force the tie into the dramatic penalty shoot outs after both teams were tied to a 1-1 after 90 minutes.

After playing a normal full 90 mnutes both sides headed for penalty shoot-out, which ended  4-3 in favour of Rayon.

For the first time, the local Blue ladies were crowned champions, and for the first time, both sides qualified for the 2023/24 women topflight tier league.
