Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda are expected in Kigali on Tuesday February 6, 2024 for a three-day official visit. According to the Polish presidency, President Duda will arrive in Rwanda from Nairobi, Kenya. He will first have private meetings with his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, followed by signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement. During this visit, the Polish President and his wife will also pay tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi at Kigali Memorial site in Gisozi. President Duda will also speak at a conference on Polish investments in Rwanda. A visit to the LuNa Smelter factory, which processes cassiterite, is also planned, followed by a state dinner in honor of President Duda and the first lady to be hosted by President Kagame and first lady Jeannette Kagame. On February 8, Polish President will travel to Kibeho, where he will visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Kibeho. Subsequently, he will visit the center for blind children in Kibeho and deliver a speech to the community there.
