One of the children involved in a school bus accident on Monday, has been confirmed dead according to a report from management of Path To Success School.
The Monday accident involved 25 students of Path To Success School in Rebero area, in Kigarama Sector, Kicukiro District who were on the way to begin their second term studies at Path To Success primary school.
Police said they were travelling in a white coaster, and the injured were taken to hospital.
The deceased is identified as Kenny Mugabo, one of the hospitalised 27 injured people who were involved in the bus accident.
Among those injured two of them; driver and teacher are in critical condition.
Medical sources have told the media that Mugabo suffered a fatal injury to his large vein that carries the deoxygenated blood from the lower and middle body to the heart.
The cause of the accident is yet to be established; however, observers believe the bus lost its brakes.
