The spectacular sights of the attractions endowed in this area including Lake Kivu and the rolling hills on which green vegetation thrives served as great motivation for Adrienne Mukamitali to conceive the idea of founding Nirvana Heights Resort & Spa.
“One day when I was standing in the farm at the very place where this hotel is sitting, I experienced exciting views made of striking sceneries and was mesmerized by the beauty of the sights and automatically rejuvenated my mind, then an idea was born,” revealed Mukamitali during a recent exclusive interview with Rwanda Dispatch.
The splendid views refreshed her mind and body when harvesting animal feeds that she had grown on her farm.
She had bought some land in Rubavu near Lake Kivu to grow pastures for her cattle. At the time, Mukamitali practiced dairy farming in the periphery of Rubavu Resort City. Her turning point came in 2014 when she hatched the idea of establishing a vacation home, which later evolved into a hospitality facility we know today as Nirvana Heights Resort & Spa.
Pestered with the urge to contribute to the development of her motherland Rwanda, Mukamitali’s initial idea to build a vacation home turned into a hospitality facility to welcome people to this beautiful region and create jobs for Rwandans.
Construction of Nirvana Heights Resort was completed two years after the birth of the idea. Its sole aim is to provide hospitality services to both local and foreign tourists.
The few years of its existence, the resort has been recognized for offering an intensely glamorous and enchanting experience.
The property offers the ultimate sanctuary and tranquil environment for anyone looking forward to resting and unplugging from all the hustle and bustle.
