Several parts in Eastern Africa will receive rainfall for the next seven days, according to the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)’s Climate Prediction and Application Centre (ICPAC) weekly forecast report.
ICPAC says that moderate rainfall ranging between 50-200mm is expected in the remote western areas in Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, and southern Tanzania while very heavy down power is likely to be experienced in cross border areas of Kenya (Mandera), Somalia (Gedo), and Ethiopia (Dollo Ado).
Further the intergovernmental isolated climate organization predicted that areas of central northern Somalia, most parts of Ethiopia, northern and southern South Sudan, Djibouti, central to western Uganda, and parts of eastern, and central Tanzania are expected to receive light rainfall less than 50 mm.
Dry conditions are expected over Sudan, most parts of Eritrea, northern Somalia, parts of Djibouti and the Karamoja cluster.
