President Kagame Appoints New Officials in Key Government Positions

A statement announcing new appointments was released by the Office of the Prime Minister on the evening of Monday, September 30, 2024, detailing the names of various officials assigned to different positions.

President Kagame appointed several officials, including Frank Gatera as the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President, Dr. Yvonne Umulisa as the Clerk to Senate, and Murerwa Irene as the Chief Tourism Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB), a role previously held by Michaella Rugwizangoga.

Other appointees include Michelle Byusa as the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, 

Jules Ndenga was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Tourism Logistics (ATL) and Eva Nishimwe as the Deputy Managing Director of Rwanda Airports Company (RAC).

Isabelle Mugwaneza was appointed as Strategic Advisor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MINAFFET), while Marie Mediatrice Umubyeyi became the Executive Secretary of the National Women’s Council (NWC), succeeding Kamanzi Jackline.

Brave Ngabo was appointed as the Executive Secretary of the National Youth Council (NYC), a position he took over from Mwesigwa Robert.
