Nyagatare based football club, Sunrise FC on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of Ugandan tactician Jackson Mayanja as head coach.
The development comes just weeks after the Rwandan football club parted ways with Hassan Muhire.
The club confirmed Ugandan tactician Jackson Mayanja will be their new head coach for the rest of the season.
In his football career, Mayanja joined Egyptian side El-Masry, it was at El-Masry that club fans nicknamed Mayanja Mia Mia. This was in reference to his gritty and spirited effort. Mia Mia literally means one hundred percent perfect.
Mr Mayanja, a married man with six children coached URA FC, guiding them to the Super League in 2001. He later coached KCC FC in 2006 but quit after two years. He went on to Kagera Sugar FC, Coastal Union FC, Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) club. He also ventured into Rwanda where he came a assist to Mike Hilary Mutebi in AS Kigali.
