Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International, Vincent Biruta received today his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The ministers signed three new agreements in General Cooperation, Culture, as well as Science, Technology and Innovation.

Rwanda and Turkey have enjoyed diplomatic relations since 18th February 1980 and opened diplomatic missions in Ankara and Kigali in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

The bilateral cooperation increased significantly in different areas including peace and security, education, civil aviation, trade and investment.

The visit of the Turkish Minister of Foreign affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, as well as established regular exchange between Government officials is a signal to the mutual commitment for the existing friendly relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interests.
